Background

This film was made in response to a D&AD brief to ‘showcase the creative potential of HP Workstations’ whilst we were still students at Kingston University.

We translated this incredibly open brief as an opportunity to come up with an interesting film technique using HP computers.

Our Idea

Our idea was to create an animation which we printed out page by page (on recycled paper of course). Filming the printers and speeding the footage up around 9000% meant that the printouts began to animate, with the HP computers acting like the conductors orchestrating this visual feast.

We were awarded Yellow Pencils, giving us our start into the industry and landing us our first proper jobs in Advertising working as a team under Ben Mooge and Andy Sandoz at Work Club.
