Background

We were brainstorming and writing content ideas for Lurpak just as London went into Lockdown #2.

After a lot of testing we developed this animation technique using pancake batter to create individual frames of animation. 

The official project got canned, but with Tom happening to have an animator housemate it felt like the perfect lockdown project to work on whilst we were all confined indoors. Roughly 600 pancakes later we had enough frames for the 30sec spot.

Hopefully it wasn’t us that created that flour shortage.
